This model comes with 11.6MB of flash memory built in, which means you can record without using a memory card. Even when using flash memory, however, you still need to set the correct date before recording. If you do not set the date, certain functions may not operate and proper image recording may be impossible. Also, folders created automatically by the camera will not be named correctly if you do not set the date.
SD memory cards, SDHC memory cards, multimedia cards and multimedia cards plus only can be used to expand camera memory.
Use of CF cards, the IBM Microdrive, or smart media is not supported.
Certain types of cards can slow down processing speeds. In particular, UHQ/
UHQ wide movies cannot be stored correctly. Because of this, use of an SD memory card or SDHC memory card with a transfer speed of at least 10MB per second is recommended.
