The Nikon Coolpix S700 is available in a silver or Urban Black metallic body and amongst its peers is the smallest camera available.
This camera has 12.1 megapixel resolution, 3x optical zoom Nikkor lens and 4x digital zoom giving oustandingly detailed and clear pictures which can be cropped or enlarged without detriment to the image quality
Also contributing towards achieving sharp, clear images is the technology within the Nikon S700 which includes; an Expeed image processing engine, optical vibration reduction image stabilisation sytem and high sensitivity mode of up to 3200. The high sensitivity mode reduces image blur by automatically selecting appropriate light settings, equivalent to using a faster shutter speed. The ISO range is 64/100/200/400/800/1600/2000/3200/auto.
The rotary multi-selector makes this camera easy to operate and other features included within the Coolpix S700 are the advanced face-priority AF which can detect and focus on a maximum of twelve faces in a scene and give them appropriate lighting and the distortion control feature which automatically deals with barrell distortion.
The Nikon S700 has a quick response time of 0.9 seconds and is powered by a rechargeable Li-ion battery EN-EL10 which has a life of approximately 150 shots. Images can be stored on the internal memory of approximately 52MB or on SD memory cards and can be shown on the 2.7" wide viewing angle TFT LCD with its anti-reflective coating. The protective acrylic panel on the LCD helps prevent scratching and fingerprints.
