The Nokia N series has undoubtedly been one of the major successes of the recent past for the premier mobile phone creator! There have been numerous models introduced over the past few years and they have changed the way that we Brits see the phone! After all, you see rock and indie stars sporting phones from the N range every day, people like Coldplay’s Chris Martin, Razorlight’s Andy Burrows and Alex from the Arctic Monkeys. When you take a closer look at the Nokia N72, you will see why!
The whole point behind the N72 is that it combines great multimedia technology with ease of navigation and overall use in terms of calls. However, the inbuilt memory does nothing to help that at all. The inbuilt memory stands at just 20MB, which is no good at all for a multimedia phone. However, there is an easily accessible memory card slot on the outside of the phone that can be used as and when you like. The MMC slot has the capability to increase the memory of the phone by up to 1GB, depending on the memory card that you use. Memory is never an issue as a result!
The N72 handset itself is a fine specimen. It is not aesthetically pretty by any stretch of the imagination but it is extremely functional. It actually combines a 2.1” TFT screen with a well set out keypad so anyone can use it, whether they have the most dainty fingers or not! There is also a light sensor that enables you to see the screen perfectly, regardless of how dark it is!
The technological functionality on the N72 includes FM radio, a 2MP camera, bluetooth capability, USB connectivity, a video recorder and MP3 and WAV music capabilities. In terms of other capabilities, the N72 does have various functions for every day business use, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. As a result, it has one of the most comprehensive technological packages going. And it is easy to find the function that you desire as well via the easily navigable menus.
The music capability of the N72 deserves a special mention. The sound quality is extremely high and the advertised suggestion of using it instead of an iPod most definitely has credibility as a result, as long as you use a memory card of course! The entertainment package that is provided is one of the best around and, as a result, if you do want excellent music functionality in a phone then this model may just be the one for you.
