The Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ2 is slim and stylish and weighs approximately 222g increasing to 247g including battery and memory card. It is only l05W x 59.2H x 36.7mm but this small sized camera holds an abundance of technological features including 6 megapixels.
The Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ2 is a member of the Lumix TZ family and contains a 10x optical zoom. The Leico DC Vario-Elmar lens (28mm wide angle) consists of 11 elements in 9 groups including an ED lens and 3 aspherical lenses thus delivering a superb optical performance. By utilising the Extra Optical Zoom the zoom ratio can be increased to 13.8x in 3MP mode and when combined with the 4x digital zoom, 55x is achievable. The wide angle lens makes it easier to successfully capture larger groups of people,landscapes and buildings.
The Mega O.I.S. within the Panasonic TZ2 prevents blurring due to hand shake, the Intelligent ISO compensates for motion blurring and high performance image processing is supplied by the Venus Engine III.
The Panasonic DMC-TZ2 has an auto focus system, normal/macro (dial) and continuous AF on/off. It has an AF Assist Lamp and ISO sensitivity equivalents are auto/100/200/400/800/1250 with High Sensitivity mode:3200. White Balance selections are auto. daylight, shade, halogen, daylight, white set, WB adjustment.
