Pentax Optio S6 Review
The stylish Pentax Optio S6, a digital compact camera with 6 megapixels, 3x optical and 4x digital zoom and smc Pentax 6.2-l8.6mm f2.7-5.2 zoom lens.
The Pentax Optio S6 has various focus options such as TTL contrast detection, Spotbeam AF for low lighting, Pan and Manual focus modes, 5 point multi AF and infinity focus lock as well as ranges in both wide and tele such as 0.15m to infinity in manual. ISO sensitivity has; auto, 80/160/320/400 and the S6 has programmed AE electronic lens shutter with CCD electronic shutter.
Images can be reviewed on the large 2.5" LCD colour monitor with low reflection and a built in backlight. Playback has various options including; zoom view up to 8x magnification, image protection and nine image display. Movie playback is not compatible with Mac systems.
Movies can be shot on the Pentax S6 at 30fps MPEG-4 DivX with sound, to the maximum of the memory card. The anti shake feature assists in eliminating blurry images caused by camera shake. Movies can be edited on camera - frame grab, clip cut and clip stitch. There is also a trimming and resize function within the editing feature together with digital filters which can overwrite and 'save as'.
The Optio S6 has an internal memory of 23MB and takes SD memory cards.
Features in the Pentax Optio S6 include 15 recording modes which are pre-programmed to suit the scene and ready for you to press the button. These include; portrait, landscape, night, surf and snow, candle light, pet, sport, food, panorama assist and text. There are also flash options of auto flash, flash on, flash off and red-eye reduction.
