Sony Ericsson W850i – The Phone That Does It All!
The Sony Ericsson W850i is an innovator for Sony in as much that it was the first phone that the company produced to try and keep up with the slider trend set by Samsung, one of their nearest rivals in the phone market. Although the W850i was Sony Ericsson’s first venture into that area of the market, it was most definitely not a redundant foray! Instead, the W850i seems to indicate that Sony had been producing slider for years! It really is that good!
With the same high quality that Sony Ericsson has become renowned for, the W850i seems to have the total package. Features, usability and functionality all combine well to give users the best possible deal. As such, you could imagine rock stars like David Bowie and actors like Sean Connery carrying with the W850i! They like the total package and are used to high quality, and this is exactly what Sony is offering here!
In terms of appearance, the clean lines and screen give it a touch of class in the marketplace, but it is the features that take the W850i to the next level. It is a Walkman phone and has the music capabilities to prove it. It has FM radio and MP3 capabilities, which matches the sound quality of the phone itself. The sound is clean and can be played at high volumes with little effect on the quality itself, which is unique in phones like this. However, the brand new Track ID feature enhances the music capability by allowing you to locate and choose any tune you want, as well as allowing you to identify any song you hear on the radio. Track ID will scan the song and find out what it is for you so you do not have to do it yourself!
However, the memory is a big let down when it comes to the music features because there is barely enough in the W850i for a handful of songs, let alone a whole library! The inbuilt memory is just 16MB and that makes it essential to invest in a good memory card if you want to use this phone to its full potential. A 1GB memory card comes with the phone itself, but it is possible to purchase a memory card of up to 4GB to really get your music going!
An extra memory card will also enable you to use the camera on the W850i. The 2MP camera is simply amazing because the images are crystal clear and the focus is always spot on. You can actually hold the W850i like a camera to take photos, which enhances its functionality. As a result, you can get the image you want every single time!
